DFW Airport Opens Nine New Gates Ahead of Busy Summer Travel Season, Celebrates Construction Progress Ahead of World Cup Games
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and American Airlines today celebrated the opening of nine new gates as part of the ongoing transformation and expansion of Terminal C. Terminal C, which is being entirely rebuilt and reimagined over the next several years, is DFW’s busiest terminal and is exclusively utilized by American Airlines. The new gates are constructed in a pier configuration that adds operational capacity and gives customers an early look at the future Terminal C travel experience just as DFW prepares for the summer travel season and to greet soccer fans from around the world.

DFW Airport Announces New Local Flavors and Customer Favorites Coming to Terminals
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is bringing more local flavor, customer favorites and diverse dining options to customers with the approval of new concessions across Terminals A, B, E and the future Terminal F. This week, the DFW Airport Board of Directors approved contracts with several North Texas-based brands, nationally recognized favorites and concepts that reflect the region’s culture, creativity and growing food scene. The new locations are part of DFW’s broader strategy to transform the customer experience through DFW Forward, the airport’s $12 billion capital improvement program, which is modernizing terminals, adding gates and expanding customer amenities.

Construction Notice: DFW Airport Schedules Weekend Roadway Closure to Support Demolition Activity
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will implement a temporary road closure to support demolition of the bridge that previously provided access into the airport’s South Express parking facilities, which have closed to support the expansion of Terminal F. The demolition activity will result in a 12-hour closure of Southbound International Parkway from early Saturday evening into early Sunday morning. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early if traveling through DFW during the scheduled activity.

DFW Airport Prepares for Busy Memorial Day Travel
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is preparing for a busy Memorial Day travel period, with approximately 1.6 million customers expected to travel to, through or from the airport between May 21 and May 26. Travel demand is estimated to be approximately 5.8% higher than last year as the long holiday weekend kicks off the unofficial start of the summer travel season. The busiest days for Memorial Day travel are expected to be Thursday, May 21; Friday, May 22; and Monday, May 25, when airport roadways, terminal curbs and parking facilities will experience the highest levels of activity.
